Jim Wooll

Jim Wooll has cruised with his wife, Bobbie, through all of the North Channel and Northern Georgian Bay anchoring in over 80 distinct locations. They kayak, hike and capture excellent photographs while cruising. Jim began sailing in the 70's with a 26-foot sloop. Later, they did bare boat charter vacations in the Chesapeake, Florida, the Pacific Northwest and Tahiti. Upon his retirement in 1999, they began summer-long cruising on their Island Packet, Reverie. They completed the Great Loop in 2004-2005.

Jim and Bobbie Wooll return to the North Channel and Northern Georgian Bay on a frequent basis. In fact, they've spent two decades cruising these waters and have now anchored for the night in more than 80 different North Channel anchorages. They kayak, hike and do extensive photography while cruising.

Jim began sailing in Wisconsin's Green Bay in the 70's with the purchase of a 26-foot sloop. Between boats, before retirement, they did bare boat charter vacations in the Chesapeake, Florida, the Pacific Northwest and Tahiti.

When Jim retired from IBM in 1999, they began summer-long cruising on their Island Packet, Reverie. They completed the Great Loop in 2004-2005. 

Also an award winning amateur photographer and documentary photographer, Jim has produced a number of trip records starting with photo albums and now in the form of slide shows for computer, home TV and the internet.

Jim is a member of The Great Lakes Cruising Club Logbook and Wilderness Rally committees.
