Liza Copeland

Liza and her family have circumnavigated the planet and she has written four popular books about this sailing trip and others. With her husband, Andy, she wrote Cruising for Cowards, a well-received cruising "how-to" tome.

Liza is a lifelong sailor, both cruiser and racer in the UK, Canada, U.S. and Caribbean, with a former career in educational psychology. She met her husband Andy in the Caribbean. They were married there aboard the classic yacht Ticonderoga and have since explored the world by boat, including a six-year circumnavigation with their three children. Currently their Beneteau Bagheera has taken them 121,000 n.miles to 114 countries with another 4000nm added recently cruising the Pacific Northwest to Alaska. Bagheera is still enjoyed by the entire family.

Liza is the award-winning, best-selling author of four cruising books. "Just and Still Cruising" recount their world travels, with "Comfortable Cruising" describing their voyage around North and Central America. "Cruising for Cowards", co-authored with Andy, is their current technical and practical A-Z for cruisers, useful whether coastal cruising or voyaging offshore. Liza also writes for many yachting magazines, gives seminars at major boat shows worldwide and frequent talks for a variety of clubs and organizations.
