Welcome to the Great Lakes Cruising Club School!
Our 2011-12 curriculum year is now in full swing, with well over 30 webinars on the docket between now and May. GLCCSchool webinars address almost everything pertinent to Great Lakes cruising, from "how to" courses to weather, navigation, provisioning, and, of course, our core curriculum focusing on cruising overviews and planning tips for exploring the most popular areas of our five Great Lakes. Classes are available to GLCC members and non-members alike.
Check out upcoming webinars already open for registration under “Upcoming Events” to the left of your screen. Or scroll a little further down to the user menu to the left of the screen and its “Preview of Future Webinars” link, to catch a sneak preview of the some of the additional webinars planned for registration later this term. While there, also take a minute to check out our experienced staff of instructors under the “Instructors” link, or learn more about the GLCCSchool, the Great Lakes Cruising Club, and some of our educational partners in the other links provided there.
Register Now for the GLCCSchool
To become a student at the GLCC School you must register. Even Great Lakes Cruising Club members will need to register for classes on this site. Registration is simple and free -- just click the "Create an Account" link under the Guest Login menu to the left of your screen. This is a one-time process to create a User Name and Password. You'll be sent an email. Click the link in the email to confirm your registration.
After opening an account you'll also be periodically notified by email as new webinars are scheduled.
Signing up for Webinars
To register for a class you must be logged into this site with your GLCCSchool User Name and Password. After logging in, just click on a course, hit REGISTER, and continue with the registration and secure payment process. All classes are interactive and presented live over the internet. Unless otherwise indicated, webinar sessions run between 60 and 90 minutes. Classes are very affordable. As a non-profit service to the Great Lakes boating community, our sponsoring organization, the Great Lakes Cruising Club, tries to keep registration costs as low as possible while covering presentation hosting and instructional costs.
Can't make a live webinar? All registered participants receive a link to the recorded webinar for access after the live event. After the live presentation you can still register for a webinar to gain access to the live recording, however note that the webinar date shown when registering for a recorded webinar is actually the last date you can register for its recording. Recorded webinars can be viewed at any time within about six weeks of the live event. Instructors are also accessible via email during this period to take your questions.
As you browse through our webinar offerings we're hoping you find several courses of interest. We're looking foward to seeing you in class.
