Cruising Green Bay

Body
Whether you like visiting quaint lakeside villages, exploring state parks, fishing in protected waters, or anchoring in pristine settings, Green Bay will more than satisfy your interests. Don't miss this new-this-year webinar covering Lake Michigan's cruising gem ... Green Bay

Green Bay is one of the finest cruising grounds on the Great Lakes. It has it all. The small towns with their unique Scandinavian charm are famed for their "fish boils". Its islands and anchorages are among the best on Lake Michigan. The Door County peninsula is called the "Cape Cod" of the Midwest, and for good reason. Its maritime history dates back to the ill-fated "Griffin." Built by LaSalle, she was the first ship constructed on the Great Lakes, but was lost on her maiden voyage in 1679.

Green Bay's sheltered waters are an easy sail up the Wisconsin coast or a managable Lake Michigan crossing from the Michigan Lower Penninsula shoreline or even from the Straits of Mackinac Straits with a possible intermediate stop at Beaver Island.

Developed by the two most Green Bay-knowledgable members in the GLCC, Marilyn Kinsey and Lou Brusca, you're sure to find this new class almost a prerequisite if planning to cruise to this year's July 9 to 13 GLCC Rendezvous in Sturgeon Bay on Wisconsin's Door Penninsula. Don't miss this introduction to cruising "on the Bay".
