The Trent Severn Waterway is a well known inland passage from Lake Ontario to Georgian Bay and is frequently used by Loopers and other Great Lakes boaters. But, it's not just a shortcut. The TSW is a delightful and picturesque cruise through the heartland of Ontario.

The Trent Severn Waterway is a Canadian National Historic Site traversing southern Ontario from Trenton on Lake Ontario to Port Severn on Georgian Bay.  After almost a century of construction through the 1800s, it has served as a beautiful recreational waterway for over 100 years.

Join Great Lakes Cruising Club Rear Commodore Eric Sunstrum and long time resident of the TSW Charlie Ellins as they guide you through this scenic passage.

You'll cruise through pastoral countryside, passing both grand and modest homes and summer cottages along the route.   Magnificent rock cuts and quaint communities add to the charm of this 240 mile passage and there are dozens of marinas ready to meet your cruising needs.  You will also get to take your boat through the unique and world renown Peterborough Lift Lock and the Big Chute Marine Railway.  The Trent Severn Waterway is a "must do" experience for boaters looking for a memorable inland cruising experience.
